The Great Outdoors...
Just a few weeks back Heath and the three older girls went out into the great outdoors. Now that the older girls are strong enough the opportunity arose for Heath to take them on their very first overnight backpacking trip. Packs loaded and shoes tied, off to the Juan de Fuca trail they go. I drove the whole gang to the Parkinson trail head for their 8km hike to Sombero beach camping sites. Now for most people a 8 km trail hike is alright but just keep in mind that 8km on the Juan de Fuca trail can be very tricky or like double the distance in 6 hours! Nothing but slippy mud and big steps as big as Thalia is tall...tough.. but according to the gang everyone was sooooo excited to out hiking. Each carried their own pack clothes, food and snacks...
Eden and I pick up the gang the next day and enjoyed a late afternoon lunch on the way
The welcoming committee.....right at the start of the trail.
The girls along one of the suspension bridges, looks like they might have just started off as they aren't too muddy yet. Alyssa staying warm and Samantha looks to be cooking up some dinner or breakfast. I'm not sure which!

Taken photos for Grandma A
Heath's mom wanted to have some recent photos of all her grandkids, so out came the camera and snap snap away......Heath went. Not all the pictures are the best as everyone started to ham it up for the camera...but fun anyways! Thalia 10 years
Samantha 13 years...
Grandma says Samantha looks like Jack Nickelson when she does this face, however Samantha has no clue who Grandma is talking about.....

My oh my how they grow...
Look at me.........
Look at me....I want to be just like the big girls! I would say having three bigger girls in the house has been very beneficial when it comes to the potty training. She is already trying to do everything that they are doing, so everyone here has made the potty a big deal and Eden has taken to the praise and cheers wonderfully!
Just a quick peek at what Eden is up to esp if left to her own devices lately... Often we can hear the scratching of chairs as they are being pushed towards the table or more often the computer desk.... it's when things are really quiet that I really wonder what this monkey is up to!!!!

Look Mumma, I just wanted to play with my puzzle.
Luminara
This year Heath and I took Thalia and Eden to Luminara in Beacon Hill park and St.Ann's. Earlier in the evening Heath Thalia and Grandpa took in the movie "Wild Oceans" at IMAX, and then all of us went to listen to music and look at all the beautiful laterns.
